Happy Earth

This story celebrates friendship that one child has with the Earth. They play together, listen to each other, and nourish each other. But when the Earth is sad, the child is sad–so he finds a way to make his friend, the Earth, happy.

Review:

The Earth and I comes to life with it’s vibrant colors and whimsical adventure. This adorable story introduces little readers to mother earth. Each illustration is a story in itself, paving the way for your child to ask questions as they behold the wonders they see. The Earth and I provides charming examples of how children and the earth are connected, clearly emphasizing the importance of the bond.  Happy earth, happy child. My child explored the pages noting unique details on the pages. The rich illustrations spoke to him as well as the story that unfolded. It made an impact on him as he continued to discuss the book for days afterwards, recalling what he had read in the book with the world around him.  I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the next book by Frank Asch called Water.
